About The Concretely
Concrete, this heavy, rough, cold, gray and abundant construction material that's rarely associated with art. Yet - its properties allow it to be an ideal matter for the artist in sometimes surprising ways.
Concrete art, incidentally, also means something else: a movement in the early 20th century celebrating geometrical abstraction. Not all concrete art is made of concrete, and not all concrete artworks are concrete art!
What is The Concretely?
The Concretely is a community of artists, curators and enthusasts who enjoy art made of concrete. It is...
- ... a weekly newsletter with new art, exhibitions and some info about tecnique.
- ... a mini database of notable or active artists working in concrete.
- ... an instagram account with a personality of an extremely excitable puppy.
Who is The Concretely for?
- Artists, established or emerging, to share their work & exhibitions and celebrate successes.
- Galleries and curators to learn about what's the next big thing in concrete.
- Enthusiasts, art lovers & amateurs to learn more about this wonderful material and the work.
How can I help?
- Artists - share your art, tell us about your new work and exhibitions.
- In the art business - subscribe to the Newsletter and have a look around! Find artists you like and promote them in your circles.
- Art enthusiasts - follow the artists, learn all you want, and, if you have the budget, take some art home! They tend to look a lot more 3d in person than on a screen.
